Great video Gramps, is there an advantage to having the helix up front over having it mounted on the transom? I do more trolling than pounding the bank. Whats the disadvantages?

I think more people like knowing what's right under where they are standing up front. But I spend far more time in my kayak than the boat, so I'm probably not the one to ask.

What did you use for the additional band around transducer? I’m a little worried about the plastic getting broke, looking to do what you did with the extra support.

Think that was another band from a previous trolling motor, a metal hose clamp

The way you have your transducer installed, the fin on the trolling motor don't interfere with your transducer reading? Mine looks like that. Thought I may have to move transducer more towards the prop.
