5:09 I can't get over Gerald Green's alley-oop. It's undoubtedly one of the most impressive demonstrations of athleticism I've seen in the NBA and maybe any other sport. Even the Rockets bench couldn't contain themselves.

The fact that Giannis only needs about 3-4 dribbles to go from one end of the court to the other is crazy!
@dinogodfrey15 Жыл бұрын
Yea when take 2 steps before you even start the dribble, it makes it a bit easier
@Julius_Paul Жыл бұрын
Yeah when you take 2 steps before dribbling and then take 3 long steps after picking up the dribble before the dunk! He traveled twice for crissakes!! People don't see the second travel because he gathers it with two hand for the final two steps BUT he had already gathered it with ONE hand on the step BEFORE that, so three blatant steps from just past half court. Most pathetic non-called travel I've ever seen

Steps between bounces of the ball have never been counted. It's all about the steps made after lifting the ball up. Unfortunately, casuals don't understand how bouncing a ball works. They never heard of a "float" dribble, and can't fathom the physics behind it. Despite the fact that it only takes 10 minutes of practicing for the average person to get it.

It's too bad you youngsters don't remember the great plays of the 80's, 90's etc. Example: The 2014 Finals when Manu dunked on the entire Heat squad, effectively driving the last nail into their coffin and giving the Spurs their last Championship in the Timmy/Manu/Tony era. (IMO Popovich was more lucky that he is/was a great coach. Did anyone else notice that once the Big Three, especially Timmy retired Pop's "greatness" seemed to disappear?) Reggie Miller being run down and having his layup swatted in a beyond super human effort in a playoff game....another great NBA moment. Also Reggie nailing what was it, three 3-pointers in 9 seconds to end the half vs. the Knicks I think?

0:25: "1 DRIBBLE FROM HALF COURT" Correction: 1 dribble from the top of the 3-point line at the top of the key on the far end of the court. That's as ridiculous as it gets.
@tudoriancu6720 Жыл бұрын
What's so superhuman about dunking when you've escaped alone with the basket in front of you? It's just proof of physical ability, basketball is over. I think we can find a lot of amateur athletes who can do this better than NBA players (but they don't know how to play basketball otherwise as well). Another question: where is the defense in these cases? So, let's recap: Is it superhuman for an NBA player to pull off a spectacular dunk when he's alone in front of the basket? In the same way, what is superhuman about playing spectacularly when you have escaped two-to-one? You are not a great NBA player if you only execute spectacular separate moves. These can be done by trained amateurs. For an NBA player, it is spectacular if he creates and succeeds in an opportunity and not if he only has to deal with a routine training phase. The 3:43 dunk is spectacular because the player first escaped the opponents and then scored.

2:00 Players should NOT be allowed to "draw fouls" like that. Clearly when a play jumps in the air in anticipation that the one with the ball will just and THEN jumped into the player who is NOT in control due to being in the air THAT SHOUD BE AN OPPENSIVE FOWL. One of these days "someone gonna get a hurt real bad" (Russell Peters) THEN they will be forced to change the call.
