Longest game winner: in the first year of the ABA, the Indiana Pacers were playing the Dallas Chaparrals (now the Spurs). There were two seconds on the clock, Dallas is up two with a guy at the line. He misses, it is grabbed by Pacers player Jerry Harkness (who had played on the Loyola team that won the NCAA tournament). He turned, threw it to the other end, and it went in. After he was mobbed by his teammates the teams went to their benches to prepare for overtime when the reds realized it was a three-pointer and Indiana had won.

Bill Russell's Celtics were so good that he could focus on defense to help his team win. His highest scoring game was 37 if I remember correctly. Wilt Chamberlain was so dominant that he restricted himself. Twice in his career his fg attempts dipped by around 10 from one season to the next. To not be only known for his size and strength, Wilt chose to display skills such as his jumpshot and hookshot instead of dunking whenever possible.
