Just a heads up, the Darlings actually did do this song on the Andy Griffith Show. In the episode "The Darlings are coming", when Andy is rocking on the porch with Aunt Bee, she says she hears something. When Andy goes down to see what it is (Actually he already knows it's the Darlings.), they are playing the song until he knocks on the door.

If you listen closely, you can hear the sound of meat sizzling in the kitchen, then at about 1:45, the timer goes off. How's that for professional studio production!
