If someone made these for me, I would literally marry them, i absolutely ADORE butter cookies. I am literally not allowed to have or be near the big tins anymore because I eat them all. They're my favorite dessert and these look SO adorable on top of it. I'm so used to the store bought ones, these would kill me tbh

Honestly FRESH butter cookies cannot be beaten! The store-bought ones are like okay-ish. The good BAKERY ones are to die for! Hand-made ones are literally the very best. Smaller bakeries make them best. Cause they put more love and care and are not mass producing like some factory. We have local bakeries that make melt-in-your-mouth piping hot butter cookies serviced with hot chocolate/coffee/Tea.

I made these for my mother for a early valentines gift it was super tasty and easy to make even thought it was 4 different type of cookies . The polvoron was super tasty and I made sure my mother made a wish. Langue de chat was the most easiest to make and the tea cookies I replace the tea with green tea but it was still very tasty. They were all a perfect level of sweetness not too sweet which was great.

Toasting the flour is an interesting technique. Also, the powdered sugar you use has a dark, caramel colour. Is it unrefined?

I found it odd as well when I saw “powdered sugar” and it was brown and not white.

Brown sugar can also come in a finer, powdered version!

It looks like super fine granulated sugar. Powdered sugar in America is like baby powder, zero crystals. It looks like they may have put granulated sugar in a food processor.
