8.3 Update here. Didn#t believe this to work because the Charm would not drop for about 2 hours. Got it off a quest mob in the end. And Candrael Twinshadow only appears on the cliff after obtaining the Charm.

i recommend farm Nightborne Trapper near Crismon Thicket about 0.14 chance of dropping, its about 30min+ of farming for me :D

I'm such an idiot. I looked up the hidden appearances months ago and spent a few hours here and there farming, but the charm didn't drop for me. I did all that without checking if I could talk to the NPC. So, I went there just now, and lo and behold, the monster was up there flying. I killed it and got the appearances. I guess it dropped for me years ago, and I didn't notice because I didn't turn in anything to her. 😂

Each artifact appearance is independent. You don’t need any of the others. You may need to acquire at least one of the artifact weapons though. Also when you first learn an appearance you have to relog for it to appear in your transmog collection.

Everything is still the same except you don't need to worry about Artifact Knowledge. You just need to be level 110. As for the campaign, you only need to go as far as to recruit Loramus and unlock the advancement tree so you can get the trait I mentioned for Vengeance. Hope that helps!

When you earn a new appearance, you have log out and then back in for it to appear in your transmog list.

All the different tints and appearances are unlocked through Legion content. This video describes how you can get the base form of the hidden appearances. You can see how to get the rest by going to your Legion order hall and clicking on the artifact forge. The appearances tab show the different looks and how to get them.

You do still need to get the Charm so if you could see Downfall it likely means you looted the Charm at some point in the past without realizing it. But grats on getting the appearance regardless!

Late to the party - I'm on a 120 DH, and have been working my way through the Order Hall Campaign (as this was something someone advised was necessary - however I can't confirm). I have been farming mobs for hours over different days and still don't have the drop. Is there any other pre-requesite? I still can't see Candrael Twinshadow either. AM I supposed to have done something else in Suramar zone for her to spawn?

Unfortunately, that one is purely RNG, so it can take a long time to drop if you're unlucky. Just keep trying and don't give up. You'll get it eventually.

Do i need to have completed the class hall campaign? is there any other quest progress that is required? do i need to have the twinblades of deceiver equipped? 12 hours after posting my original one - and have been questing all through Suramar, and progressing through class hall .. i still havent had a drop. It's frustrating to not know if theres something other than just pure RNG i am not taking into account. :) Thanks for the reply though.

For the Vengeance appearance, you do need to do a little bit of the Demon Hunter Order Hall Campaign, just so you can unlock the NPC who lets you upgrade the order hall. That's the only way to access the mob that drops the appearance. Hope that helps!

Pretty much everything is the same. The only change that came with Shadowlands was the level squish, so for that appearance, you'll need to be level 45 before the item will drop. Unfortunately, it's just a random drop and the chance isn't that great, so it can take a while. Don't give up!

Yeah, we're pretty sure it can come from any mob in Suramar. Lots of people like farming in Felsoul Hold or the Gilded Market over in the city. High mob density and respawn rate. Just keep at it!

Artifact Knowledge isn't important anymore so you can ignore that part. You can still get these appearances in BfA. Nothing was removed. It sounds like you've just had some bad luck. Keep farming for the item. It will drop eventually.

The NPC won't be there until you've looted the item and have it in your bags. I don't know of any reason she wouldn't be there other than not having the item with you.

What I meant is that Artifact Knowledge is automatically granted to all level 110 players. It used to automatically increase one level per week, but we're now at the cap, so once you hit level 110, you automatically get AK level 55. So for the hidden appearance, you just need to hit 110 to get the Knowledge level it requires. Hope that makes it clearer. :)

Legion artifact transmogs are in a separate drop down menu in the weapon transmog interface. Also, you cannot transmog them separately or apply the appearance to your off hand. You need to apply it to your main hand weapon and it will then also transmog your off hand.
