It is a serious issue & questions not only morality but clearly they have broken the law. Today most “prank” videos in the internet disregard the law & not to question the crossing of the boundary. We can understand why they had done that in the name of fun, & it the age where as young adults, making mistakes is a natural process as experienced & wise grown-ups, we have an obligation to only forgive them. I also want to highlight on the characteristics/fact of digital storage. Nothing can be permanently deleted on a storage device, every data is retrieval unless you used specialised tools, which are quite expensive for a common man. The apps, you get claiming such things only makes the retrieval process quite difficult, most apps, write 0s, on the entire device, a number of times… but that doesn’t make it impossible. If you ask me, the only way to be sure is to destroy it, if you sync data with a data storage provider, good luck…

I disagree, today most young people doing acts beyond unimaginable level, I would say, it’s influence, they knew deep inside, they were wrong & brought up right. Anyway, everyone has dark secrets, whether, it’s a serious issue, law/s broken, lives lost, etc… where the point of no return is crossed, it is only when older, one gets really wise & becomes a law abiding person, mainly, we are in a position to lead by example & “hero” to our children, we want to establish & ensure that there are no half measures on some issues… today, we cannot be a rigid open book type where, we basically obey all law. We just have to build a moral compass, things like, littering, I don’t do it since young because of my teacher/s in school. She had gently explains us the reason/s. Moreover, there are bins place specifically for that & today, if there is no bins within a vicinity, I simply tuck it in my pocket or leave it in the car. Simple things, like this will go a long way… in life.
