This is a beautiful find. Even the tiling on the floor is so very tasteful. The carving is exquisite. Every time you enter one of these churches' premises, the birds let themselves be heard, as if it is by their leave you are welcome to explore their space.

How do they keep wood borer beetle out of the roof? Ongoing maintenance I should think. Expensive.

I guess...unless our forebears knew what to do. I know wattle & dorb had it's own inbuilt insect repellant - probably solutions modern society has forgotten!
