Man Auckland has so levelled up on its international food offerings over the last decade. It's always been one of the bonuses of NZ's multi-cultural environment, having great dishes from around the world, but they were never as fancy looking as the places you guys showed today 😎
@PeterandYen5 жыл бұрын
The food was sooo good at these places. You're absolutely right too I think it's definitely the last 10 years that has seen huge growth to kiwi dining. As foodies we are super excited about it 😁👍being able to try flavours unique to other countries in such a small city like Auckland is legit amazing.

The Ethiopian flatbread almost looks crumpet like with those holes. Ethiopian food is so interesting and tasty.....always a good choice for us vegetarians too 👍. 50 volcanoes??? Woah! Nasi Lemak....our fave Malaysian dish...just too tasty!! We tried a tasty vegetarian version in KL. Cendol - love it!! Weird concept to us to begin with but the tastiness of that dish blew us away. Lebanese food is great, kinda like tapas style - loads of little dishes to pick way at - we love that style of eating. Looks like a tasty spread guys. All of today's places looked exquisite - hard to pick a favourite we think 😉
@PeterandYen5 жыл бұрын
Hey! That's a perfect look alike for injera! It does totally look like crumpets but tastes nothing like it hahahaha. It is definitely a great choice for vegetarians the 3 vege dishes were delicious! Lebanese food also great for vegetarians and the hummus was just divine. We also want to try Ethiopian. We've only tried a couple of recipes that we've prepared at home, but need to go to an actual restaurant. Doro Wat is so good! That coffee looks so nice too. We also need to find good Malaysian food here in Chicago. We want to try Nasi Lemak. Lebanese is one of our favorite cuisines. We have it all the time! Your spread looks fantastic. Hopefully, we'll get to share a meal with you guys someday.

Every single dish at cafe Abyssinia was delicious. Def if you have a chance to go to a restaurant nearby that serves traditional Ethiopian food on injera go for it! Hey guys 😄 sorry its been a while since we've seen one of your videos, we have been SO BUSY! How have you been? Ethiopian food is not what we expected! That flatbread looks really yummy, but I don't know how I would go eating with my hands 😂 I'm clumsy enough with a fork! OMG that massive plate of hummus was everything 😍😍 Cauliflower with raisins though?? Was that weird? Hope you guys are having a great week!
@PeterandYen5 жыл бұрын
Hey guys it has been a while 😁 been quite the week for New Zealand. In general we've been great eating and doing some trips around north island. Ethiopian food is the best and eating with your hands is a must try experience. Cauliflower and raisins go really well together especially when the cauliflower is a lil burnt. Weeks well glad it's the weekend 😊👍

Wow Ive never tried Ethiopian food. I was about to say does it taste similar to Indian food but Peter shut that right down lol. I think I’m gonna go look for an Ethiopian restaurant. Wait, was Auckland once the Capital city? I was born and raised there for 17 years and I did not know that 😂 Ps I’m booking my flight to Raro tonight. We arrive on the 2nd but at like 9pm. Hopefully I get to catch you guys ✌🏼
