Oasis do a lot of repeat lyrics. But Liam will do a change on some vocal inflections on the second time around making it perfect. Also the bridges of Oasis songs are legendary. It's ABC songwriting but done to perfection. Noel even admits to only using 3 chords (I think he may be overexagerating)
@grantyoung3783 жыл бұрын
This is because Noel was writing songs so fast, and they were always in the studio, he didn’t have time to write second verses. Imagine coming up with so many amazing songs so quickly, the guy was unreal

It's so funny, when I was 17 in 1998, my friends used to criticise Oasis. They would say anyone can do those tunes, I would reply its 'simple but effective' 😂. Also, if its so darn easy, why can't the majority of bands reach their level of global success?? Noel was the best song writer out of Britain for the last 30 years end of. Liam the best front man since Johnny Rotten, they were not the best band at the time... But they fooled the majority into thinking they were for two to three years. Go figure! 😉

@flysi013 жыл бұрын
Check out the album The Masterplan, it's made up of b-sides from their first 3 albums. Most bands would kill to release an album as good as The Masterplan and its all b-sides, shows just how special they were especially in the early years. That's not to say their later stuff isn't great because they continued to make tune after tune, but there's no denying the magic of those early years

Manchester in the 70's 80's and 90's was a shit hole, not a lot of hope for working class people. No real job opportunities. Noel was motivated to write these songs whilst working on his own in a store room for a builders yard. He wrote tons of songs whilst sat in the store room. Oasis were a band that we related to in the 90's especially living in Manchester and the North of England. We had football and Oasis and thats all that mattered.

A B-Side is this.... When you’ve already bought the album, so you already have the song that has been released as a single from the album, what reason would you have for buying the single? I think they would have been massive in America if they'd played the corporate game more...the huge gap between wealth and poverty means their music would have appealed across the divide if they'd worked harder...but doing gigs in uk to 80000 and being worshipped, to going to America and playing to 2k in the mid 90s didn't work due to sibling rivalry, drink n drugs, boredom and exhaustion... Plus on their first tour of USA Joel from the brian Jones Town massacre gave the band crack when they thought was cocaine right before a record label gig at the whiskey go go club and they were absolutely wasted, except Noel, always professional...that's when band broke up and noel legged it to LA and met a girl and wrote talk tonight
