Nearly everything about this game is just awesome. I especially like the commitment to the cartoony style, right down to gunshots and other actions having comic style "Ratatat," "Blam," "Boom," etc. Such a good find. Here's hoping those classes get some tweaks, and the full game keeps up this quality workmanship.

My brother and I had waaaaay more fun with that game than we really should've. I still miss dropping in just outside AA range for half the drop, then tanking the rest, then mowing the poor surprised suckers down, and stealing their points.

If you havent already, you should take a look at Dirty Bomb. exceptional core game mechanics, easy to learn difficult to master, satisfying gun play, reasonably balanced. I never understood how the Dev team screwed it up.

I bought this yesterday and I'm addicted. The gunplay is great, the movement feels nice, the bosses are challenging and it's just fun. I hope it gets way more attention, I could see this becoming as big as Deep Rock Galactic in time.

5:02 Not only that the game encorages you to switch constantly, many of the base mods (ones not given via RNG) are only effective on the first to ten shots, making it best to simply focus on those strong attacks and switch em out even more consistently Buffs like 1st shot makes an explosion First 4-10 shots deal a great amount of damage. Basically they really encourage ya to use weapons quick and switch often. Anyways Game is great, spent 25h+ on it and their discord server has other fans who would gladly co-op with ya if you want that experience as well.

i played it on game pass when it was fresh on there, after my first run i went to steam and bought it even in its current early access state, simply running and gunning (and jumping and sliding and grinding on rails) feels great the progression is satisfying, on the later end you can remove some rng from the game (level up the weapon you got a lvl 1 but simply deals not enough dmg on lvl 2 etc) some bosses can be annoying depending on your selected class, plus when the area is really crowded some trap enemies feel like cheapshots. most perks could use a buff, right now i dont see the point on sacrificing a third jump for bonus damage when i jump enemies and other rather small stuff like that overall i love how the game encourages an aggressive gamestyle by regaining health on orb pickups when enemies die, while also making snipers and staying back viable options with the right weapons getting kills while scoped automatically picks up the orbs

This game is quite similar to Gun Fire Reborn and that game is quite fun too, with loads of weapons and a class system as well and some of the class can be really broken if leveled up with the correct perks while in a match

Speaking of hidden gems, you should totally check out Deep Rock Galactic sometime. Its a first person shooter where you play as dwarves and mine materials while fighting off 'Glyphids' which are a cross between xenomorphs and spiders!

One thing I noticed that you didn't mention. This looks great to train aim and movement without even realizing it. Lot of repetition but the fun your having makes it easy. This could be a great supplement to your main shooter game to keep your aim sharp

yooo. I honestly really enjoyed this game. I ended up sinking like 30+ hours into it over the span of a week on impulse - it's super addictive when you're in the right headspace! my one, HUGE complaint is that the game ffrreeqquueennttllyy eats your clicks, and it can cost you your run relatively often. Super frustrating when you have good momentum/a fun build. Otherwise, this game is an absolute blast once you get into a rhythm with it

So they've talked about this, it's to do with an engine bug on Borderless windowed mode; while they have been doing a lot to try and fix it all the fixes have yet to work on everybody so you might just be unlucky in that; that said if you're really annoyed by it just switch to fullscreen for now and you should have no issue :)

You should cover one of the virual on games once, they are like this 3d arena fighter/ third person shooter combo. They are very fun and feel somewhat like a third person shooter with dashing. Also its a diffrent genre you can cover.

Yeah this. Between playing both I've stuck by Gunfire Reborn more, although it's been several months since I've tried Roboquest again so I'm sure it has more content for me to try out. Gunfire Reborn is excellent and falls within the paradigm of being a rogue-lite looter shooter that IMO has a fun combat loop and offers enough build variety that I don't feel obligated to do the same thing everytime. I personally love the gunplay feel of it, but I would say it's slower paced than Roboquest (not to a fault. It does have a dash though.) and the music is forgettable. Also, Gunfire Reborn is not shy about having "weapons from other games". They may have different models, names and sounds but you're going to recognize what a lot of the weapons are, down to the animations lol.
