The “taco” pottery is actually Portuguese. It is meant to flambé Portuguese Smoked sausage-chorico. Flammable “aguardente” alcohol is poured over the sausage which then falls into the dish and lit to heat the sausage. The sausage sits on the top. When the flame goes out you eat it. Yum!
