I was born and raised here in Deland.Its a great little town.i also recognized those neighborhoods,the first is very basic and not on the best side of town, the 2nd is a great neighborhood just outside the city limits. Hope to meet you sometime and put some miles down in the future

There are a couple of other Half Wall locations in the area. We have one in New Smyrna Beach and there's one in Port Orange. The vibe in DeLand does seem to have a more laid back vibe. It used to be that way in NSB but all of the major car dealers that were over on US1 have moved over to 44 just down from the I-95 ramp so now you have that draw along with all of the traffic heading to the beach to contend with plus they are building a shit ton of houses. Literally everything that was woods between my house and I-95 has now been mowed down for businesses and houses. I also don't blame you for not wanting to ride in the rain. I was bikes only 365 days a year from 2009-2020 and I have had lightning strike so close to me that I felt it through my pegs and grips and it fried my phone that was in my pocket .
