About 100 kms. Jammu se Patnitop kareeb teen ghante lagte hain. Aap patnitop se Udhampur hote hue Katra pohoch sakte hain.

Thats Great. We started from the base itself and took appropriate breaks. One can also take electric e rickshaw till ArdhKunwari temple which cuts down the trek time.

No price as this is a temple. Also since we didnt see a lot of lamps, it would be wise to be back by evening

You are a kind person to have noticed that :). In Katra, like other tourist places, you will find a lot of agents trying to sell you hotel rooms. He was one of them and we did not need a hotel room :)
