"Outsiders - Studies in the Sociology of Deviance" - Howard S. Becker. Published in 1963, groundbreaking work on sociology. I don't hear much about it, but that might be my fault. "Gem" found in a used books crossing spot. It's very readable and quite short (~200 pages long), helped me understanding social dynamics, defining "deviance" as relative to a set of social rules made by groups. Enjoy!

If you enjoyed The Anatomy of Melancholy - The Noonday Demon by Andrew Solomon would be a great follow-up. It includes pretty much all you could ask for in a book about the topic. It discusses the condition from an interesting blend of perspectives (personal, biological, cultural, political, evolutionary, etc.) - Arguments are thoughtful, the case is persuasive, and the book so beautifully written… The kind that has you sit back and stare at the wall for a good while after finishing it.

Merhaba abi. 6 gün önce sana bir tavsiye listesi yapacağımı söylemiştim İslami kitaplar falan Onu atıyorum. Öncelikle İslam hakkında ataştırma yapmak istiyorsan abi İslamda Akaid İttikad denen bir şey vardır Dinin temel esaslarını barındırır Bunların bilinmesi gerekir. Bunlar içinde İmam Tahavi İmam Taftazani İmam Ebu Hanife gibi Alimlerin Akaid kitapları çok iyidir bu hususta. Hadis okuyan mesela birazcık hadis ilmini hadis usulünü bilmesinde fayda vardır. Ben Başlangıç olarak İmam Nevevi Riyadüsalihin kitabını öneririm. Şimdi Kitap tavsiyelerime başlıyım kısaca - İmam Gazzali el iktisad fil ittikad - İmam Gazzali Mişkatul envar - İmam Gazzalş - Bidayetü'l Hidaye - - Hikemü’l Ataiyye İbn Ataullah el-İskenderi(Tasavuf kitabı hoştur) - Mevlana Mesnevi Türkiye'de yakın zamanda yaşamış Said Nursi adlı bir Alim vardı Ondan da bazı şeyler okuyabilirsin gerçekten güzel sözleri var(İngilizce mevcut) Bir de şu var istersen Milel ve Nihal Muhammed eş-Şehristani(Bu farklı biraz Dinler ve mezhepler tarihi kitabı) Ayrıca eski büyük alimklerin Siyer kitapları iyidir(İmam Kastalani gibi)eğer merak ederseniz👍 :)

How can you say a book is great and fantastic if you have literally not even read it yet???

Easily, I can read snippets. I can look at how the book is structured. I can read the thesis of the book. Etc etc. As to whether I am right or not, idk. The book could turn out to be bad.
