yoo not sure if you've already done this before, but I tried a cool combo: Aurora and Don't Chase, the don't chase poison procs Aurora's 3 hit passive, it's pretty insane. I recommend you give it a shot since it only requires rolling 1 augment to work!

I just realized the biggest difference is how "lonelier" your normal League games feel in comparison to arena where you always play with a duo. might be why I prefer the arena vids more as an active viewing experience compared to ranked where I often just listen to you talk. thanks for the upload.

@@hsdrumming8158 funny, this is such a clash between both worlds of things i like to do/things i have to do. i genuinely think that i wouldnt be successful as a creator if i had to start today. the completely different atmosphere after covid is all i can point to. if you can accept the premise that covid had absolutely stunted about 3-4 years worth of highschool/college kids you can easily reconcile the ungodly decline of attention spans + the rise of shit like shorts/tiktok happening around and after the height of covid. my earlier content was pretty god damn niche with like minimal sounds (sounds off/no music), unedited gameplay and also used "bigger" words. over the years ive gotten really smart about my compromises for the youtube game. here are a couple: 1. simplified my language a LOT because a big vocabulary risks getting insecure nerds projecting onto me about it with minimal upside. the other side of this is important. part of being a smart person is having the ability to represent your ideas with simpler words so more people can understand you. basically, if you can explain your shit in simple terms so even an idiot can understand it makes it significantly better for you in the long-run + avoid coming off like a twat to chronically online people looking for a target. 2. engagement farm idiots that cant help but respond back. the algorithm doesn't differentiate between "good" and "bad' comments like a human does. it just sees that you get a lot of people commenting/engaging. that's why it's far more hurtful to the channel if a hater were to be mature and just click off. them staying to attack me/nitpick/backseat is actually valuable while doing absolutely nothing for them. basically, the creator always wins because of how this is all set up. i shadowban a ton anyway so they dont even know that their comments are invisible. 3. engage with and hit the heart button on anything upvoted/liked in general - basically just hand out a lot of hearts. this is mostly speculation but you can't prove the opposite so just take it with a grain of salt. lots of people want to feel like theyre "part of something" so when a comment is super liked + engaged with i just attach hearts/responses on them and people seem to think "oh if the creator liked this comment or responded on it, i should come check it out!". free farm. 4. do things that i can be proud of at the end of the day. as much as people try to shit on me as a youtuber for my practices, i can justify every single decision in an argument if i need to. this lets me sleep easily. 5. invest + do things on the side so youtube isn't my only source of income. this one should be obvious lmao. now i feel even less beholden to entitled viewers at 25 with my current situation than i did at 21 or so still learning how to navigate the space :)

A lot of the time people with fragility and insecurity issues will take issue with someone leading, even when the leader is not abusing anyone. Rational authority is not inherently evil on its own. I don't usually comment much on videos but I think you giving us perspective on your social situation between you and your friends (not that you're obligated to do so) helps us empathize and relate a little more with your videos. Hey, I have been watching a few of your videos after I got a absolutely broken comb on one of my Leona games. I don't know exactly what Augments I had, but now I know what triggered. I had Mystic Punsh together with Reverbation, and somehow my q triggered mystic punsh a few times, instantly resetting its cooldown. So I could basicly spam q. Had that pretty late into the game, so only 2 rounds of it but still very funny!

I think your descriptions of the positive effect of the power dynamic perhaps fall a little short of the mark. Its a hard concept to explain, certainly. The power dynamic of having someone, with greater percieved value, be sought out by others for their company is not inherently dangerous or imbalanced because everyone is consenting, effectively. The person with the percieved strong position in the dynamic isn't preying on people, or seeking out people to bring into their fold, and the people will the weaker opsition on the power dynamic aren't being forced in the mines, like you said. Ultimately, mutually beneficial relationships aren't inherently flawed if there is a non-standard power dynamic. Teacher and student is literally the ultimate example of a power dynamic that is super valuable for both parties without both members of the relationship be equals. The benevolent dictator example is pretty good, but belies the most important fact about it: not being ruled is free. Everyone who is standing under the dictatorship signed up for it explicitly and intentionally because they saw how the dictator was 'ruling' and decided that was what they wanted, and they can leave at any time at no cost to themselves. The language is a little extreme, of course, I don't think you're a golden god sitting on a porciline throne or anything, yall're just friends, at the end of the day. Your videos continue to be great for many reasons, but the fact that you and your duos always have a lot of fun is one of them. Keep up the good work! Thanks for the vid.

So people call you a dictator because your friends trust your judgment ? You're doing content usually going for some strat so naturally you will need your teammate to pick some augments to cater to that strategy. You end up being the carry in the comp most times because it's more fun to watch the carry's pov, so it's obvious your teammate should always try to res you if possible. Not sure why that has to be explained, i'm silver and my arena duo is diamond and we do the exact same thing i usually go with his advice for items/augments, if he goes down first i play for res.
