Hidden Japan: The City of Water

Wow, I was just there 5 days ago! It was raining and the Shiba Inus didn't come out. I also went to Ichibangai shopping district and it was quite sad to see there were more closed stores than open ones. Still, I was thankful for the natural water refill and bought a few treats at the bakeries. I hope more travelers visit Shimabara.

Yes! It’s a beautiful town. It’s very “countryside sleepy town” vibes but the bones of the city are wonderful. Would be cool to see increased travelers help revitalize it!
