cera's attention to details and when to hit those underlying notes is by far one of the best i've ever seen from a waacker. she's just so melodic in how she chooses to approach her movements that it's so easy to envision the structure of the song by solely looking at her performance

히든님도 잘 하시는데... 히든님은 음악에 맞춰서 움직인 느낌이라면, 쎄라님은 그냥 몸에서 음악 나오는 느낌 ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ 쎄라가 유독 퍼커션이랑 스트링 소리를 몸으로 잘 표현하는 듯

Hidden's performance is so clear you see top instruments she's hitting, but Cera is very well-rounded hitting sub instruments that Hidden missed. If she didn't do this 2:20 I honestly wouldn't have noticed that sound 🙌🏻

2:21 madleen kane의 본인 아이덴티디와도 같은 최애곡 rough diamond를 cera 처럼 이렇게 잘 표현한 건 없네요 =현장에서 락커루에게 하이하는 동작 이후에 요 파트 잡아내는 것부터 2:52 이 곡을 커버한 많은 다른 댄서들과 다르게 빌드업한 걸 계속 끝까지 이어나가는 게 진짜 너무 좋아요 madleen kane 노래 더 틀어줬으면.....!!!

perhaps a very unpopular opinion, but i feel that cera's dance structure is super formulaic (but hey! it's always a crowd pleaser, and usually works at least decently). ik it could be considered her "signature" though (no reference intended). but imo this song brings out the strengths in that "formula"; 1. facial accents and posing to the instrumentals (exposition, building tension), 2. bringing the rest of her body into it w the iconic flamingo as the percussion comes in (rising action, building tension further), and 3. finally utilizing the surface area of the dancefloor w the vocals (climax).

@@michimichikatsuformulaic? yeahh, but repetitive? i disagree. for a formulaic dancer, cera's move arsenal is INSANELY huge. the only major repetitive move that she usually did would be her leg extension, the rest are actually quite unique and rarely repeated. though, my only criticism would be her tendency to remain in the same space which make her dance looks way less dynamic that it could've been considering how complex her movements usually are. plus, she also likes to kinda tuck in her torso and keep this poise posture which don't really work for songs that are full of characters and more lively (not to mention she's rarely out of her stoic persona and are not really theatrics/dramatics/witty unlike haejun, yoonji or quentaa). i do agree regarding waackxxxy though. since she's quite similar to cera where both of them are quite technical, her repertoire seems to be repeating a lott, especially since most of her moves are quite "big", hence it's more noticeable when being repeated. and this issue seems to be more noticeable since supa and redbull (my hypothesis is she's too accustomed to doing flashy moves which imo don't really suit her since she rarely does non-dancing moves unlike yoonji).

Most dancers have this "formula" in battles that if you watch them 1000 times it already looks repetitive. Even Waackxxxy does but she creates variations from original set and that's the new ones in her performances. I would say the only ones who can REALLY give a totally new approach to a song are Lip J and Yoonji. They seem to UNDERSTAND the song lyrically and play with it that's why you barely see repetitions, even the vibe they can totally change. It's like the song lyrics is narrating and they're doing exactly as the lyrics while on beat. It's true art form and we miss Lip J for that 😩

Battle Guest means they are invited to battle at the competition, also meaning that they won't be participating in the preliminaries, they are already included in the finals round

It means that the dancer didn't really consider joining for whatever reason but the event invited them to advanced battle round 'cause if that person joins the preliminary, he/she would get in anyway.

Are you ok? No one said this is new. And no, this is not voguing. These dancers are called Waackers and specialize in the dance style called Waacking. And they mainly enter freestyle dance battles like Waacking competitions like this one in the video.
