🦄 Hidden lake HOW TO BUILD Crystal Castle PART 1 | Ark Survival [NO MODS] HD

This is a long project in the making: how to build a castle in ark! I know that most of you might think this is way too big of a base, but I know that there are a few of you crazy grinders that need a huge project - and this video is for you guys :D
This is my attempt at giving you guys a ark castle build tutorial as I have gotten a few requests for doing a how to build of a castle similar to the waterfall castle - that I have a base tour of.
I will not write down the resources for this castle because its just alot, but I hope you will manage anyway. I know that my other ark castle tutorial (of the rustic caslte) ended up being super popular and I did not give a resource list on that one either.
I wanted to go for a really epic ark castle feel, and my unbiased opinion is that I did a pretty decent job. the vid is a bit laggy, but what can you do when your computer is bad...
Also, if you ever wondered where at hidden lake you should build your base, I think this is the absolute perfect spot. That way you can use the lake area as a dino pen :D

if it's a private server or one you have access to the ini files of and are allowed to change them you can up the structure limit if need be

Built it on XBOX ONE. Can't build it fully. But can build most. There is a limit of 6338 but there a lot of things you can cut out that don't have a purpose and it looks really good

Thanks for this tutorial but I've come across a problem that I can't seem to solve. I'm already 30 minutes into your video and I built a good portion of the castle but now I can't snap anymore foundational roofs because apparently I've reached my limit. I noticed in the past you said you were going to make another video on how you decorated the inside, I also noticed you have two of these videos labeled part 1. Will you have that in the future or was it already made but accidentally not uploaded? Just started building this on my non dedicated server and it’s awesome so far! Hey :D So this is actually the only part 1 I have up. I just changed the tumbnail the other day because I have finally finished part 2 (which will be up on youtube next week :D Do you play on pc or other platform? I think people who dont play on PC have encountered structure limit problems.... I had no idea that the structure limit was different on different platforms ... but just a heads up :) That blue screen situation would be useful on PVP hahah then no one could actually get to your base to raid it xD

Haha yeah, I play on PS4, I don’t have an issue with structure limits, it’s probably just people trying to build on official and this castle would probably be the max for the entire server haha. I’m super excited to see part two ! It’s going to take me a while to catch up though haha

This is such a cool build! I was wondering however you had mentioned early in the video that this was part 1 just the shell and you were going to do another one for the inside and around the front etc. Did you ever make one for that? I love the build as its a beautiful design, but I'm confused as to why at 25:55 (the front part was skipped?)….I mean if the title read other then how to build...I would have just admired the building, but started to project because honestly needed the challenge, but didn't think there would be guessing game involved with it XD....is there another video or something that goes over it?

Amazing build however I have 1 criticism about the video and that's at one point the main door isn't in place while your doing the back of the build and then it is and then it's not again. The video needs to be consistent with the build so it's easy to follow for people who will want to build this themselves. Other than that superb build and video over all.

not a bad build. although you built this on pc, we were able to build this on ps4. my only thing is the snaps points you use have a load of gaps. we have figured that problem out for you but we would also like to see part 2 of this build im very interested in seeing how you laid out the inside. not a bad build idea at all, well done

Mark Hage I will do the inside aswell. Plan is to make this a series where I build a whole village/kingdom around this castle so it will probably be quite detailed :)

oooooo .. i love it. coz i already had some stuff in Hidden Lake I built it in the exact same spot. awesome build. I would like to say that you, Aaron and UTC are my inspiration, but that's not exacly true. I have almost no creative bone in my body, I just copy and make minor alterations. Hmm... it says that its exceed height allowed by foundation and I cant put more pillars upward.

Did you build it in the same location? Because what matters is the gap between the groud floor and the highest point of the build at any area of the build. So say you build on the edge of a waterfall, the edge part might end up getting that limit. I don't know if I'm explaining properly but yea.... .my question to you is if you built it in the exact same location or not

I am having problems placing objects inside of the Dino Gateways, I have the stone fence foundations laid down but nothing will snap to them. I have removed the fence foundations and replaced them, removed the gateways and replaced them. Nothing seams to work. Any suggestions?

you mean the dino gates dont snap to the fence foundations? That is very strange, i have never heard of that error except for during the "fix" they did on the sleeping bads which messed up the dino gates. It is suposed to work unless the devs did something strange again!

I am using the method of using dino gates with the fence foundations inside to attach walls and windows too. It is weird as the walls seam to attach to them all, but the windows (greenhouse) will only attach to some of the fence foundations.

aaah now I know what you are doing wrong. So greenhouse walls do not attach to fence foundations, therefore you need to use a stone wall first on a fence foundation and then ad a greenhouse wall on top. The reason for you thinking it snaps to a fence foundation is probably because there are other snappoints there aswell.

If on official, there is nothing that you can do. if you are on your own server you should be able to increase the structure limit in the settings
