It is pretty awesome when cooking to leave the spice "drawer" pulled out so you can see everything and it's easy to grab what you need. Everything is alphabetical so it is super easy.

fantastic. lucky woman. your cabinet is nearly as big as my flat. but there is only me. I love things that hides things away and I think this is wonderful and very good planning.

Thank you and I will be sure to tell her how lucky she is! It was just a weird space so we had to get creative with how to best use it.

Idea is awesome, but u should have made some rod fixed horizontally in order to avoid clattering of jars or bottles kept in row Anyhow a great idea of storing things in a visible manner

I have a 1/2” lip on the front of each shelf. We’ve used it for over 8 years now and not a single jar has ever fallen out. Honestly I have not heard any rattling on a day to day level either although I think you might hear some in my demo video. If you buy top quality slides then it operates incredibly smooth. I wouldn’t change a thing.

You do not have a problem with racking or the pullout swaying?
@chrisarneson86442 жыл бұрын
Nope. I built it 10 years ago and it works great. The slides are far enough apart to prevent any racking.

Excellent build! Any ideas for what I can do with a large blind corner cabinet? It's about 38"x 25"x 20"(height). The biggest problem is the door is only about 8.5" wide so there's no way I can turn my arm 90 degrees to put things back or reach back to that 38" around the corner. It has made the space a complete headache.

They make blind corner cabinet pullouts. A bit expensive, but way easy to use. Depending on your particular specific cabinet and needs there are a lot of options.

Where did you order slider mechanism from
@chrisarneson86443 жыл бұрын
They are standard slides based on the AccuRide design. amzn.to/2LQnnOy

I would prefer the door slides to be hidden. One on top and bottom would do it.

You have to keep the slides in a vertical orientation for them to be able to hold any weight. If you just mount them on top and bottom you will get a ton of sag. You can buy slides that are meant for installation on top and bottom but they are very expensive. I think they were about $130 each. I bought my drawer slides in bulk but the house and just used a standard pair. They are no more exposed in this application then they are on all of our other drawers. While I understand your point, it was not a big deal to me. Good luck regardless.

@@chrisarneson8644 good point regarding sag.

Thanks for the video. Making me more inspired to build my costumized spice rack in a small space next to our tall fridge.
