It usually is to be honest. I'm a glassblower but also a machinist and welder by hobby. I end up making all sorts of tooling and molds and such like what you see sylcom using for other glass makers lol. There are solo hot glass workers but they are very much the exception. Furnace working glass is almost always a real sport

They areembwrs of an 1100 year old guild who undergo 7 to 11 year apprenticeships starting around age 8 or 10. By this point in their careers they have a couple decades of experience.
