I've been a fan of Arashi since 2007, I was 17 then, they were my go-to band whenever I'm down, my music when I was studying for my exams, quizzes, homework. I've watched their shows, movies, dramas, concerts, you name it. I met new friends because of them, I became friends with people from around the world because of them. They were an integral part of my life, hell I wished I could have had the hospital play their music while I gave birth to my first child a year ago. So when I heard about them going on hiatus I was honestly, honestly relieved. I was so happy for them! They started in the entertainment industry in 1999 and it's about time for them to live a life that is theirs. I do believe they might disband after their hiatus and that's all right to me. They've given us 20 years of their life. That's more than enough. So thank you Arashi! Thank you Ohno, Nino, Aiba, Jun, Sho! Now go out there and live out your lives as magnificently and as wonderfully as you can.

As much as i live arashi... i really hate the idea that idols should not date.... they are humans... and for arashi it is about time for them to have wives and start a family. They made me smile and laugh they deserve that much. Arashi arashi!!!!! For dream!!!

Oh my.. Although it is sad that they are not together again I think it's a great decision made.. I think everyone deserves freedom.. Come on! It's the agency's fault that they controlled their idols so much that they cannot live their own life the way they wanted.. Imagine being told what to do and what not until the age of 30,40,50s.. OMG! That is such a mental torture.. In regards to fans, please be more open minded and mature.. I hope each of the idols get to find their HAPPINESS since they have brought many happy memories to all of their fans.. They deserve better 😊 ❤️ ARASHI ❤️

I came to know about Arashi when a friend introduced me to JPOP in 2001 and it all started when I bought their very first album Arashi No.1 Ichigou back then : ) Being in the same age group as them (I'm born exactly a week before Aiba Chan) , I would say 20 years is really a long stretch of time where we matured from school-going teenagers to adults in our late 30s , in a span of 20 years we graduate from school, start working, meet people, date, fall in love, get married and start a family. For many of us, we can indulge in our passion while still live life freely but for them, to remain relevant (as per how their management perceive) they have to remain single. For the management to actually still enforce this once they have passed the age of 30 is really ridiculous. In 2015, Ohno, who was already 34, was made to apologize to fans for being in a relationship (what the tabloids label as a scandal) and he even had to promise his fans that he will not be seeing her anymore. Honestly speaking, who is anyone to dictate who and when he can date? He's a human too, who needs love and eventually to have a family of his own. People who are selfish enough to make a fuss out of this and expect him to remain single for the rest of his life, are not fit to be part of the fandom. Our relationship with Arashi comes two ways. While they bring us happiness and encouragement with their music, concerts and presence, we should also love them back by respecting their rights and be happy for them if they have found love. Being attached or married does not make them any lesser as an idol as long as they are of good character. If issues were handled better earlier on maybe Arashi would not have gone into am indefinite hiatus because they are still at their prime , in the years leading to their hiatus, they are still the top spot on the Oricon charts. If you noticed, only after the announcement of their hiatus, Nino and subsequently Sho & Aiba tied the knot with their other halves. To this very day, us, the true fans are still very happy seeing them working on their new individual projects. I hope Riida is enjoying his well deserved rest, doing all the things he wanted to do previously but had no time to. I wish these 5 dudes all the best and can't thank them enough taking me through the ups and downs of life with the positivity from their music. My life could not have been better without their existence. Thank you Arashi! Arigatou Gozaimasu!

Tbh it's been a crazy fun 20 years with ARASHI. I'm sad it's coming to an end this December but they do deserve some rest. Spend time with their families, time alone, time for themselves. I hope they are able to date during hiatus and find that other half for them. Wish all the best for them

It must be about time for all these men who we dearly love since we were teenies to find something that can give them total fulfillment. They have made us all so happy so I think it is right that we be happy for them also as they decide on what's yet to come for their future. Long live ARASHI!!!

All of these Arashi accomplished already and now its about time for themselves. They want freedom and peaceful lives. And I am happy that they decided to do this.

Oh, this let me thinking a lot of things. I love Arashi, they're our sunshine♥ I'd really miss them if they disband, but I'd be happy to know that they'd still hungout together. They are humans, they get bored, tired, sick, depressed; they have feelings! As fans, we have to support them and respect their individuality ;-; ♥ This pass months, Johnny's talents' have parcipated in the some campains for the pandemic situation; I've seen Sho, Jun, Nino, Aiba giving their support messages there, but not Ohno-chan. I think it should be illegal for the non dating clause in a music contract, just as I think NDA should not be legal in sexual harassment cases since the people with all the power and money unfairly get their way (Non disclosure agreement)

The thing that is so weird about kpop & jpop is about how much they differs yet really resemble one another. Like jpop is super forgiving on idols shortcoming as a person but can be really cruel when they get caught dating yet kpop can be easy about idols dating but so nasty about other aspect of idols life. What remain constant both idols companies are the greed monster.

I'm sorry but that's contract really cruel. Even korean artist got minimum 3 year dating ban. And yet, during that scandal Arashi already more than 10 years in industry. Are they supposed to single as long as they active as Arashi? They are human being who wanted someone special. Hmm. Poor them. I hope they will be happy without any restrictions. Wow. Well, i do scared of these member quit after gettinglove partners. But i extreamly opposite when people say they should not date. If they make us (fan) happy, why cant they be happy? It is scary when thinking of they might quit but leave them be! Why should they only live their live on screen? They had many side of them that fan didnt know, so let them be! Miss them? but they already quit from Johnny's.. now they under jet storm right.. so the decision to hiatus after 31st December 2020 is basically when arashi members are under Johnny's..
