So many folks talk about how easy star metal is to get. I ride around the central tower until I've worn out my weapons, and I have never seen a single meteor. Now that I can make the Eldarium recipes, I suppose I don't really need star metal, but it's a bit frustrating that the meteors aren't falling for me.

That's weird! Are you on singleplayer? I'm on multiplayer and there is always star metal there and in great quantity

@@KiahOnFireOfficial Yes, I'm on single player. I know that, in the Exiled Lands, you had to hang out in the north for a particular time in order for a starfall event to occur. Using that, I've imagined that I need to be up there at the tower (in render range) for a time to get the game unstuck. Thus far, no joy. Might be an early access bug. Luckily, star metal isn't 100% vital, with the new delving bench mechanic. I wonder if I have to be at the tower during the maelstrom? Sounds perilous.

Same here in SP. I check every time I play, and nothing. Even started a new game. Same in the exiled lands. I spent I don't know how many hours in the snow and never had a meteor shower on my current map. But, as you mentioned, star metal isn't as necessary as it is in the Exiled Lands, so I'm not too worried about getting any, but it really sucks that it doesn't spawn AT ALL on either map.

@@KFADavis1 I could always coax a starfall if I spent enough time up north in the Exiled Lands, but no joy in Siptah. I finally built a convergence trap and got a paltry amount by risking life and limb in the Maelstrom. Pretty expensive and labor intensive!

@@thorwulfx1 I did the same with the trap. Even managed to find a safe spot on the innermost rock pillar in H10, roughly halfway up. Have to mouse around to find the right spot to place the trap, but it's there. Not one enemy spawn. Managed 36 ore for 80 eldarium burnt.

I've been trying legendries as I come across them! Thank you for letting us know that lessor weapons can be used! Yes, I have more star metal bricks then I know what to do with ;-)

Eldarium weapons are really quite good, though, and not all that tough to keep repaired. It appears that the ones I have use hardened steel and Eldarium when being repaired. I haven't tried to learn every recipe, but I like the first two I've tried, which are the Rime axe and the Wild Swing greatsword.

Yamatai Katanas work as well - I suspect the other various DLC variations work ok (as long as you use the star metal version) for weapons.

On the official I've been playing on, 6111, there have been several days in a row that there has been zero access to any of the vaults. No kidding on there needing to be a secondary way to get decayed eldarium, it's nuts with how restrictive the current system is.

@@janm7b Yes, the single unit drops from mobs outside of the vaults is nice but it's exceedingly inefficient and still restrictive to an unnecessary degree, even for clans.

The delving mechanic is absolutely shit, I'd not waste resources on them until they change it up significantly. It should always give back something, decaying elderium or random normal sword whatever, but to dump SO MUCH material and get back absolutely fuckin NOTHING is a shit idea, simply, bad game design, poor implementation, lazyness etc.. And besides it is not explained AT ALL ingame what it does and how, with what chance etc. The fact alone that people need to learn this from youtube videos (no offense) talks about how crap the design is, FC devs should be ashamed for this..
