How to Prepare for Artist Alley - Everything You Need to Know

I hope you guys find this video useful! What I thought would be an easy quick video to make, turned into a 3 week video! I had to re-record and re-edit it because it was way too long. It's still pretty long... but I cut out as much as I could. Part 2 to come soon... ish.

This was so informative and helpful! I'm looking at selling my work at a local convention next year and I'm so overwhelmed by how much I should or should not bring, how much expenditure will be going into making some of these printed products (and how out of pocket I'll be if they don't sell!) and how to go about actually setting up my table to look pretty. Your advice has been super helpful.

Awe i am so so glad it was helpful to you!! It is definitely tough to decide how much to bring. I brought about 15 of each print to my first con, but if you're nervous about it, try less. You will learn so much at your first con and it's impossible to make all the right choices. I would suggest settling on a middle ground for quantity. Let me know if you have more questions! I've had the chance to finally win a table at a local convention in Quebec in few months and ended up on your video to get references! Hiii thank you so much! I use 100 pound with a satin finish, not sure what brand because I get them printed through a local printer. Hope that helps!

The one thing I find that no one ever say is where they get there stuff done. I would love to know where to make pillow cases or pencil cases but no one likes to say and it's rather frustrating lol. Is this information you would share? If not I get it and won't hold it against you ❤️

Question: I live in Canada as well and plan on attending anime north and take part at an artist alley. I suck at digital so all my work is traditional using markers and pens. If I were to make prints of my traditiona art at Reyacom woud the print come out alright? Due to it being traditional art? Also would pricing 9x12 prints at 10$ CAD be a good price?

Riko Rocket price at what other artists are, you don’t want to cheapen the industry

I have a friend that does all traditional and they look great! You will need to take good photos or scans and get test prints to make sure you are happy with the colour. The standard print size at conventions is 11x17 or 12x18. I choose to do 11x14 because it's a common frame size and people always appreciate that. I would try to do a more common size to everyone else.
