How the hell do you bring a song built around auto-tune & stepped vocal harmonies, the FEELING of that, to a harp? This is how. Your starts & stops, and off-beat stutters, before flowing into a beautiful melody is awesome. Beautiful!
@NaomiSV3 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! It’s always a rewarding challenge to take a song to a very different place than its original version and give it a new life.

Rick, just a small correction: Imogen Heap uses a Vocoder and not auto-tune. These are totally different things. But for the rest I agree completely!

I love the stare every time you muted the harp. Like "What you lookin' at." Honestly all the power to you, never felt the harp as a go-to-single-instrument but you convinced me. At the end it looks like the song hit you hard.... reminded you of something a tad too much...

The decor and clothes you choose and all the staging you do for your videos really feel like an integral part of the music. I know it doesn't physically makes the music sound better, but I can't imagine it would be the same without! There are only a few content creators whose videos really bring me joy, but you absolutely are one of them! Phenomenal work, as usual :), and it's a really beautiful song too (well melody in that case, I don't know the song in question :p)

Where the original has such a sense of loss and sadness, this cover feels very beautiful and peaceful
@jonathanleonard11523 жыл бұрын
Loss can be the beginning of peace in many different ways. I have lost most my possessions in the process of downsizing to move to a more appropriate place for me, I have lost friends and relations to death then understood that I will gain them again when I am there. Loss can be an open door to better.

@Michael Moneyhunter - Keep in mind that insightful words, mine included, often do not originate with the writer. The most insightful and thoughtful things I have written or said were given to me as sage advice from someone or some place I do not see.

@jonathanleonard11522 жыл бұрын
@Michael Moneyhunter - I am a devout Christian. The exact sect of Christianity is immaterial. Do not read beyond here is you do not seek a true meaningful life. God through the Christ provided a drastically different concept of life as we know it compared to how Humans have governed themselves since the time of awakening and understanding of our existence. In part this life we all live, call the temporal life, is temporary. We all exist in the spirit that is immortal. Any one can see that whatever we gather to ourselves during this temporal life is for naught at the moment of death. Yes of course it can be given to others, but it will not benefit us once we are called from this world. We are called away. No one can kill us. Those who want to, and seem to have the power to, kill us sin against God as blasphemy. We will all die. None of us knows when. For those who are saved every day must be lived as if you will pass away in the night. Concepts of how to live a life, including, competition, self sufficiency, determination, reliance, making your own way, climbing to the top, fighting for what is yours, are at times commendable but are in the end useless. We are not singular individuals. If you have read to this point more than this can not be done by means of messages on YT.

I feel so relaxed when I listen to you playing the harp especially after a busy day. You must switch off the lights and listen this music with just a warm light ON. You will just get into another world and your eyes will automatically close and will enjoy every notes of her music. I loved the way you stopped playing the harp. Natural way and I think that's your trademark. Just loved it. 😍 Love from Kerala, India.
