Hide Blanks and Error Values on a Pivot Table

A better way to fix the (blank) issue is by utilizing your Filter. Currently, your data is in the "Compact Form" layout. First, set it to the "Tabular Form" layout. Select the "Label Filters" option on your store's field. You can choose the "Does Not Equal" option and put in (blank). Click okay, and then you can set it back to the "Compact Form" and the (blank) field is removed along with the totals. The best part, your total sum for Bill, Bob, and Jack will also match. Hope this helps!

Yes the filter can help with blanks. This method, however, is also for hiding error values.

in the "Pivot Table field", select the drop down next to "cardholder" and deselect "Blank"

I wish there was a better way to deal with these blank/error values. Using the drop down to deselect (blank) means I have to manually select any new values added to my data (and consequentially to my pivot table) in the cardholder. I have multiple pivot tables and that's quite painful. The solution provided in this video doesn't solve my issue either and I'm sure I'm not alone on this. There should be a simpler way to remove X data from my pivot table, in a way that new data automatically flows into it, without manual intervention.
