What a horrific incident yesterday for the Warbird Community that resulted in the loss of life and the destruction of invaluable history. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families of the crews that perished yesterday in Dallas. Texas Raiders was the first B-17 I ever saw in person and it is sad to think, none of us will get the opportunity to see that aircraft again.

I love the 1812 overture intro. Reminds me of when they decommisioned the 203mm Howitzers from the Army and fired off a ton of the propellant charges as part of the cannons going off for independence day concert on base. It was freaking awesome hearing it from the parade grounds when they fired off the guns at the artillery range... miles away.

unfortunatly a b17 and p63 crashed in dallas texas yesterday iconic pieces of history while the b17 turned the p63 ripped off its tail wreckage fell onto southbound Highway 67 that same day my grandfather was on his way back home he was on the bridge about 30 minutes following the crash luckily they cleaned it up and he made it
