Yeah,that's actually yoshiki and hide's plan but he died in 1998 so sad..!I work in japan since 2000-2005 and I love xjapan songs and i heard about hide suicide but since I'm only 20 years old at that time I ignore it and continue listening and singing xjapan songs.And when the internet and youtube start I start watching all of xjapan video and it sad how hide died soon i felt sad.

Michelle Romales a hint is when it says you thought the sky was square which is referencing the computer screen and also the web that is mentioned in the first line is alluding the www (world wide web) and so hence the spider. He is the spider and he is trying to use the butterfly’s wings that he caught on the web to escape into the sky

When I saw X Japan a few years back, they had his guitar on stage during the while performance. Gone but never forgotten ❤ Sugizo joined the band during that performance, which was amazing because I love him too. Wonderful experience I will never forget

I can't help wondering, what would happen if hide was alive, if x japan never disbanded... I really think they would change our understanding of music completely. cloud and spider both of them are kumo in Jananese. so that's why you see "a pink cloud(spider) is floating" in the last sentence.

That's exact. In the official lyrics (in japanese) KUMO isn't written as a kanji. So we can't really know if he means cloud or spider. And he surely means the spider which is floating like a "cloud".... Like a gaz, like a breath, like a soul.... Which may means : it left the body. The spider died.

Malin Slifer if during the song the “spider” knew that he would never fly by himself and he is reminded about it by the “butterfly” and now he is flying in form of a cloud. I think that the meaning is pretty clear.

It’s popular just not as you think. There are lots of fans still here in the states. I’ve been a fan since the early 2000’s and they will always a have a special place in my heart. X Japan can definitely sell out if they choose too in the USA.

Sorry for late response but HIDE was the former guitarist for X JAPAN and he's commonly referred to as one of the fathers of the Visual Kei movement, a big youth icon. Back in 1998 he died of what was ruled as s*icide after a night of drinking with his brother and friends, his bandmates say he must of been trying to do some neck pain thing he was taught since he left no note or showed any depressive behavior. His death was really impactful with lots of people saying it was "the end of an age", hundreds of people attended his funeral and a bunch of fans unfortunately attempted suicide.
