I would pre-soften the knots using just a 10 vol developer, then go in with the bleach. The Hair Diagram teaches that on her channel.

I tried it on a darker wig and it wasn’t so bad it had some spill out but it wasn’t too noticeable. I just use some root color to fix it and it was good to go.

Girl, It's rare that I'm laughing during a demo. You had me laughing so much when you thought that you cooked the hair. This is a good method for me. I've never been able to bleach knots. They never lighten, even after 30 min. Thanks for this, I'm going to try it on some old wigs. You're awesome!

You could totally use a brown root spray to cover those spots if they bug you :) but it looks great!! And I love that shampoo!

Wow I thought about this but I thought about putting mines in the oven. Yesterday cuz my knots would Kot bleach. I was going to heat the oven up to 500 or so. Turn it off for like 3 minutes. And then stick my wig in there. Now I wish I would have done it.🤦🏽‍♀️😔

Haaa u got me cracking up. She said she thought she cooked her hair.. from my bleaching and microwave experience...idk why i have experience w both these Random things but with bleach or dye, keeping them from cooling is the key so this is definitely a great idea. I figured Because I once looked into why they use aluminum caps because i didnt have that so i was like "tin foil?!" Then i decided to find out what the foil did because i was looking crazy with rolls of foil all over my head like a mix of a rasta whos scared of feds and aliens. lol. i got married and didn't want a divorce. so thats why heat works. Its about insulation....now from having different Microwaves...they have different temperatures so id start at 10 secs...or if u know urs has a high temp, like mine sometimes doea because it has like flares of high power... Like sometimes 30 secs makes something pop, but another time and one min isnt enough... You can also use ur power level. I do for defrosting things all the time and its an awesome thing to know... It took a min to figure it out but, mine, you hit the time, then power level button (when you normally would hit start) and it will change to #10, meaning you can change the power from 1-10 but its automatically set at 10, the highest. I make it 50-80% by hitting the 5 or 8 and then start.... just something if your scared it has metal in it, or burns, its nice to have the power... To change the power. Lol. I been nervous ever since i read a story about a lady heating up pee for a drug test and burnt her house down. Somethings dont mix with being "nuked"..thats a throwback word ... U all don't know about that. Lol. Awesome video.

I seen some heat there oven up to like 170-200 degrees turned it off and sit the wig in the preheated oven for like a min should work the same way but maybe a lil safer🤷🏽‍♀️
