Ooohh....tough question! We liked Valentin Imperial Maya a lot...but it's a bit pricey. Lower price we've stayed at Ocean Riviera Paradise twice and enjoyed it both times (definitely look at upgrading to privilege there). Platinum Yucatan Princess was nice too....

Hi, very informative review, did the restaurants have "gluten free" options?

Thank you! I have to admit that isn't something I really looked for so I can't say yes (or no) with a lot of confidence. What I will say is there were a lot of options for other diets (vegetarian etc.) so there likely were some gluten free options. Sorry I couldn't help more!

Well….it CAN be. We booked the cheapest diamond club room with Sunwing and then once booked went on the Royalton website and paid $60 to select our room. We were able to pick a pool view room with a jacuzzi on the balcony. It was less expensive than booking THAT room category with Sunwing. The issue is….until you’re booked…you can’t see what rooms are available to select on the Royalton site so there might not be better ones available. So, it’s a bit of a risk!

How much was diamond club upgrade

It was a while ago when I booked (so I don't remember exactly!) but I think about $300 more per person .

Yes, we did! Ours were very nice but...honestly...extremely disorganized. Other than the restaurant reservations we really didn't find great value in Diamond Club.

Hi, the hotel was built on 2014 you think the installation looks old? You think the splash can be better??

We honestly didn't find it looked old. But I did just read they are planning to renovate all the rooms and restaurants starting in August! The Splash is brand new so I'd imagine everything is fresher!
