Interesting. The train door closes when the Conductor closes the trap to the stairs.

@Nexis4Jersey Enjoy them while you can, the railroad is currently in the process of replacing the old catenary with the constant-tension type.

I like how the still use Wooden Catenary , thats pretty rare these days.

@jjaagg5050 Right now only one set is being used, due to auxiliary power issues. As far as I know it is being used on Trains 116 and 111.

@Nexis4Jersey They're now using a European single-bracket design. Right now they have it as far east as Ogden Dunes, and should be through to Michigan City by this fall.

@JLJ061 I do remember reading in the paper that they were having those power issues. So they haven't resolved them yet? I hope they can figure it out.

Any replacement cars would most likely be the Hyundai - Rotem Silverliners Vs used by SEPTA in their heavy duty electric railroads.

That's the Dune Park station I remember. I hate the new high level platform built there. In places like Hegewisch, it's not a big deal but Dune Park it just looks bad!
