HiDef: Trains on the UP, CN, and CSX at Tuscola, Illinois - July 10th, 2011

Incredible! I wish you could have stayed longer, I caught the SB Illini with a B32-8 leading and P42 pushing. Then right after that I caught a UP WB with a Dash 9 leading, and it had a sweet old cast P3 horn. The NS units came after that with a Dash 9 leader, the ES44AC, SD70M, and SD9043MAC. The NS D9 had a very nice K5LA. Monday morning was equally as rewarding, caught a SB CN manifest led by IC 1039 and then the City of New Orleans came by with Amtrak 66 on point.

The CSX train was the K45609 Decatur to Hillsdale IN.

Thanks! I appreciate the info on the ethanol train. I assume K457 is the westbound train ID from Hillsdale to Decatur?

I was just there July 2, 2017. Lots of traffic until around 2am. then the railroad went to sleep. How long has elevator in NE corner been unused? Also, when did they tear out the siding on IC to CSX??
