Really love the design of that food plot. Makes great sence.

Much respect to hunters that actually get out and scout, stalk, and hunt. Shooting houses are super challenging hunting, lol!

Finally someone with a brain. Seems like folks are more concerned with being Cool than using common sense. Anything that gives a deer a sense of security is money. Great job!

We built a blind like that on our land. It looks out over a field that’s a quarter mile long. We just sit on top of an open platform with a rail for a shooting rest. The deer know we’re there, but they don’t care until they get within about 80 yards. We’ve killed a 13 pt., an 11 pt., and multiple 8 pt. bucks from it. I saw 2 large bucks fight in it one night about 30 minutes after legal shooting hours. We just never worried about camouflaging the ladder. I doesn’t seem to matter for rifle hunting.

I cant see doing all that work being worth it just to not get seen from the feild because the deer will bed down in the brush around the blind and you wont even know their in their

So all you need to kill trophy bucks is hundreds of thousands of dollars of equipment or labor, and a few million dollars worth of land?

Good video....I enjoy your content. Have you ever worked in areas of the Southeast like N.C., S.C or GA? Just curious how well all this works on places with long gun seasons and dog hunting pressure on neighboring lands.

Several times in GA. The more hunting pressure there is, the more important these strategies are.

I have just a hub style ground blind in a small wood patch, its been there for 5 years. I keep the windows closed off season but leave them open during hunting season. Most if the does are resident and don't pay any attention to it, once in a while one will look towards it and see if any movement then go on. But its there for traveling bucks because they all come thru that small wood lot looking for does. I come in from behind it and it has cedars all behind it and I brush in the front every season .. this is a deadly setup and i take a mature buck or 2 there every season.

The stairway is way too big. Windows should not be covered by wood, only glass so they don't look different.
@DC_PRL4 ай бұрын
you don't open and close windows. deer will notice a difference. I have my blind windows cracked open for a duration of the hunting season.

Nah. I can sit under a tree on a folding chair in a pair of blue jeans and a T-shirt and harvest a deer. People tend to way overthink this stuff. They don’t care about the box, the windows, or what they look like.

A friend of mine took a different approach. He made reasonable efforts to hide his elevated blind, then he went one step further. He dug a tunnel from the nearest cover to directly under the blind where he built a completely enclosed ladder. Nothing ever sees him enter or leave the blind.

here on our farm nothing bothers the deers. That doe was just looking around and not at your blind.
