It’s always so hypnotizing to watch you paint. I’m always amazed by the techniques you use and the final outcome of the painting!

I love the attetion to detail in nihonga! I love how every step in the process is valued and seen as important for the final result! I especially love how skillfully and carefully you painted around the goldleaf to make the lines at around 4:35. There are times in my paintings where I do something similar with masking fluid because I think it is worth the effort l, even if others think it's backwards, impractical or a waste of time. I disagree those who say that because you can get beautiful results like with your painting! Beautiful results makes the effort worth it. If I may ask, how was the masking before the gold leaf gone? I haven't heard of any kind of masking methods for nihonga specifically. I have heardof ironing on freezer paper or even using masking film, but I know those methods aren't part of nihonga and the material doesn't look like freezer paper or masking film (unless I am completely wrong). If this was explained in another video then I apologize. I look forward to watching more videos regardless!
