I had a similar backpack as yours and it was unzipped when I went to shilin night market many years ago, my wallet and camera was robbed and I didn’t realize it. I reported to the police and a few weeks later they found my wallet and all the cash was gone except my student id. It was a really bad experience.
I am so pround of Taiwan!
As a Hong Konger/Australian, this warms my heart so much, we’re always so careful and paranoid about the people around us, we forget that there’s a country like Taiwan who doesn’t take your mistakes for granted. Obviously take care of your own stuff, but this shows how well mannered the Taiwanese are. Makes me want to visit Taiwan even more 🇹🇼

as a taiwanese girl born and raised in america, I agree so much! I was pretty shocked whenever I visited Taiwan. Honestly Taiwanese people are so nice and kindhearted that it gives me hope in this world. Truly an amazing place to be… I need to go back and visit soon as well

Trust me it’s one of the safest countries in the world and Taiwanese ppl are going to help you to get your lost stuff what matter happens I mean ofc every place you have some negative ppl but so far I didn’t discover them but I heard some stories. This experiment will never fail in Taiwan 🇹🇼 🤩
That's really Taiwan's culture~~most of people are kind and honest. I'm so proud of it.

What really impressed me was that there were "several" times when I left/forgot my motorcycle key on the motorcycle FOR ALL DAY. I realized it when the classes finished after 5:00 in the late afternoon. One could have just hopped on and ridden away. Amazingly, nobody did and in these experiences, I always found my key withdrawn and safely put in the front storage box by some kind passerby.

...I've lived here in Taiwan 20 years, (I'm a foreigner btw) I can attest too that Taiwanese are a honest peoples. I’ve found 7 lost credit cards over the years here,, just found one last week too. I go to the credit cards bank and hand it in. They are always surprised, they tell me sometimes that it's rare for keys, credit cards etc are handed in, not because it was stolen by finder, it's just not a cultural thing to hand in, in my country the UK, if an honest person he or she will hand in to nearest police station. A good way, here, they just hang it up on a street sign on put on a wall to show owner, which he or she will never find.
Just to point out a small typo at 0:02 when "United" was misspelled. Btw, Taiwan is definitely a very safe country, and if not for work I'd love to live there long term.
My mom worries about me in Taiwan and I always tell her that I'd feel safer passed out drunk on the street at 2am in Taipei than I did walking around my neighborhood in the US at 7pm
