Strange to pick apart the theme I think. I mean EVERY game at the end of the day is playing cards and rolling dice. I can't think of a game where actions aren't abstracted. You never really battle a dragon in a dungeon, you roll dice and move miniatures. You don't really do any farming, you play cards and place woodem bits to take actions. Tom sounds like he actaully wants to DJ lol. Then it wouldn't be a BOARD GAME. Video games can get away with it a little more- DJ Hero.

Yes, it's hard for a euro to integrate theme. But some of my favorite games are the ones where designers manage to pull it off. Hegemony does it best, The Pursuit of Happiness or Roll Camera are other examples but are not as good gameplay wise.

I have this on preorder from smirk and dagger. I am pumped to try it because I love games about music and bands. The record theme is cool…how does this compare to Vinyl? Is vinyl the better game?

I can provide a few about bands/music that are pretty good. Rock Hard 1977, Draft & Write Records, Come Together, Vinyl are a few that are pretty good to great. ​@@robertthurman9866

@@thedicetower thanks for addressing the comment. Perhaps my reaction was too harsh, but unfortunately it has happened before as well, and the way I use the subscription list makes it annoying to navigate through so many messages of scheduled content stacked together. Cheers

@claudiofreitas9425 Sorry. There's a few times a year where we have large events. Something similar will happen during the Winter Spectacular as we have a lot of sponsored posts and other streams we want to direct people to, meaning those videos need to be scheduled and made public ahead of time.

I have never been subscribed to this channel. Just their normal amount of uploads is enough to spam the list. I check in once in a while, but I would never subscribe. I actually think they have much fewer subscribers than they deserve, and I bet it is for that reason. They upload way too many videos. It is asking for spam to subscribe.
