I received it yesterday. It's like hificrap oups.. hifiman I owned He400s : shit _ Deva pro : shit _ edition XS : crappy bullshit Garbage, and now I hope the last hificrap I bought sundara closed, It has all the problems, no power, it's a small, not powerful speaker in a tin can. Literally 80% of the sound is parasitic resonances, it's a big shit. I am 8 years electronic music composer. Trading shit like this should be banned. Literally no use at all. Edition XS is a scandal. On all counts my Philips Shp3300 at 10€ is better. Amazon will reimburse me for this closed version, it's sad that people can be convinced to buy this

My friend, I ABSOLUTELY agree and fully support you! This Chinese Chai-Fi should be banned as a scam. I had two pairs of hi-fi. and BOTH broke in almost the same way, just by being on the stand on a shelf with headphones. When I first listened to them in the store, I really liked their treble. But once I started listening to them at home, it was a disaster. High frequencies cut through the eardrum. Sibilants and terrible whistles. I’m generally silent about quality. Ananda's paths rotted within a year. Aria's were cracked. Highfimen tell me: “Send it to us in China, we will exchange it for the same ones for half the price.” Freaks, and I also have to pay for roundtrip travel and customs expenses. That is, buying new ones (which of course I’m not going to do) is cheaper than “fixing” them under warranty.

@@MyouKyuubi shl ? Sorry. My friend who electro music composer 10 years ago use a cheaper Philips headset than me for work, his mix are very clean. Probably 5€ headset. I mean there is an huge difference between who make music and others. I mean a JVC 20€ headset brand new is usable for work my music, no hifiman can do below HE1000 ( K€ ? ) , there is a huge difference between people make music, it's not about audiophile quality sound , my SHL 3300 PHILLIPS is so sweet for work music , did u listen the hifiman edition XS ( 500€ in France Amazon) it's a scandale 😱 , litteraly sound like a garbage, nothin good , nothing !!!

@@EtreGenerique Ah, the SHL 3300, the "DJ headphones", now that's more like it! You gotta admit though, the coffee machine thing was a funny coincidence! xD I haven't personally listened to the Edition XS, but i DO daily-drive the original, open-back Hifiman Sundara. I don't really understand why you have such issues with it. I also own a backup headphone, because i heard a lot of stuff about the QC issues of Hifiman at the time, the Sennheiser HD 560S, and i compare them sometimes with the Sundara, and imho... The Sundara has a faaar more transparent sound, the bass sounds smoother and bouncier, the speed of the membrane makes everything sound infinitely clearer and punchier, etc... The Sundara just wins. Analogically speaking, if the HD 560s is a clear plastic marble, the Sundara is a glass marble, by comparison... It's just clearer, rounder, harder and seamles, it's just a better marble.
