What is the real power of the amplifier? What have I missed in car audio that such tiny amps produce such power? Sacrificing what? Quality? I understand D-class and all that, but not 6000 watts? .... maybe 600?

Wow there’s a big difference in the damping quality and sq of the two amps definitely the Theta for the better sq even if the soundstream is louder it sounds way muddier and that’s listening hear from my phone so I’m sure in person it would be even more noticeable. I’m actually doing all Hifonics amps in my current build just for a budget system to throw people off and the sql…

You were probably hearing the distortion coming from the video camera mic. With lower volume comes less distortion on the video camera. That’s probably why on the vid the Hifonics sounds cleaner because it not as loud breaking up the recording mic. The sound stream amps are very clean I know it’s hard to tell sometimes from the videos.

How long can that single 1.7cu basic Bbox handle that 12inch sub? If that's the case then let me try a pair of those single Bboxes with my 2 Fosgate T2-D2s.

Actually, I use those boxes for tester boxes for quite a while and since they’re small and they’re all three-quarter inch to actually hold up pretty well for Cheap boxes

@@HiFiVector so far I used that single 1.5/1.7 cu Bbox or Atrend basic carpet box on my Alpine Type R 12 (750 Watts rms-2250 watts max) and even my JBL W12GTI MK2 (750 watts rms - 4000 watts max) but I'm not sure of anything well over 1000 watts rms lol.

The Soundstream Xtreme amps put of pretty much what they say on the box.( even more sometimes ) Remember RMS or Dynamic Burst is the power reading that really means something in the real world and on Dynamic burst they do put out.
