椎名林檎！待ってました。罪と罰、懐かしい😭彼女はシンガーソングライターであると同時に、様々なアーティストへの楽曲提供やプロデュース、映画や舞台の劇伴なども手掛けてます。曲も歌声も強烈な個性をもっていて、初めて聞いた時は本当に驚きました…いろんなジャンルが入ってるのに、どの曲をきいても、彼女だってわかるんです。テンションコード使うのが特徴ですよね。拡声器をよく使うんてすが、それも女性では珍しくてかっこいい！他の曲もいろいろ聞いてほしいです。

椎名林檎さんは楽曲や演奏によって声を変えたり歌い方を変えます。 ベースが寄って来れば声を変えますし、ギターの歪みが小さければ声を歪ませたり、全ての音を考えて一番効果的な場所に声を持っていくんです。 最初から計算して拡声器を使ったりすることもあれば、コンサートでは反射的に声を変えたりします。 特に東京事変のコンサートではアドリブも多く、バンドのアドリブに椎名林檎さんもボーカルでアドリブに答えます。 東京事変はボーカルパートでも演奏のボリュームを抑えませんが、それらは椎名林檎さんの声の置き場所を考えた優れたボーカル力によって実現しています。

Somehow Shiina Ringo has a good six or seven voices, sometimes cooing or babyish, even facetious and cutting sometimes with the cutesy voice, to rough and gritty, or steady and soothing down low, sometimes thin and scratchy up high (more these days), or absurdly balls to the wall but robust and full up high (2000-2005). She's really a masterful vocalist, although definitely not everyone's cup of tea vocally.

Also, the live versions of her songs, she sings as different characters that changes throughout the whole performance during the show. Their is a version of Crime and Punishment where she is singing as a "bar girl" who is very broken. Just one well known example.

This is prime Shiina Ringo before she changed her singing style, either because of vocal damage or she realized she needed to for an extended singing career. I hope the record company allows this reaction to stay up awhile - her first two albums are not available in the U.S. and most of her videos from this time are not available to American youtube viewers. So most fans outside of Asia only know post mole Shiina Ringo (which is still great). Tsumi to Batsu has become the go to song when contestants want to prove their vocal chops on Japanese singing competitions. The "duck" recently sang it on the Japanese Masked Singer. Aina the End from BiSH sang it and one of the judges said her performance was the closest they had heard to Shiina in her prime. 罪と罰 very much sounds like it's inspired from Janis Joplin's rendition of Summertime by G. Gershwin--who probably got his inspiration from the negro spiritual "Sometimes I Feel Like a Motherless Child." But that's just my excellent opinion 🤷🏽‍♂️
