It looks like Pepper's baby has a boo-boo over his left eye. Flöffi is just not the sharpest tool in the shed. I don't hold out much hope for the survival of this baby.

Peppers baby is so adorable and definitely has a mark over his eye. Also, it seems like Pepper pops up around Flöffi quite often. I think she has the right idea. If you hang out with other moms that have their own babies, you’re less likely to lose your baby. Pleasure baby will have a playmate, which is a stage that Flöffi hasn’t quite made it to yet I guess. I understand what Arroz is saying about younger sisters holding more power but Flöffi is too much. I feel like mother’s don’t snatch their babies away from kidnappers/babysitters because they want to avoid hurting their baby, but Flöffi just seems scared to take her baby back. She often misses her chance. Anyway, thank you for the video. The little babies are just adorable as can be. ❤

Its rare for babies to nurse off anyone tha their mother. It's actually why kidnappings can turn deadly. Even if the kidnapper is lactating, that doesn't mean the stolen baby will nurse or rhat she'll allow it. Earlier in the video, whwn it appeared like mom got her baby back, she was nursing, but the kidnapper still had a hild of baby's leg. She was allowing the baby to nurse. If she was willing to feed it herself or the baby was willing to nurse, that wouldn't have happened

Mr. AM....@6:09....that sapling cut, off the trail there, is quite suspicious. Definitely one of the signs we look for and see when someone is setting snares and steels snap traps off trail, in the bushy forested areas.

I remember when Layla was a baby and Flozzi would babysit, and wouldn't give Layla straight back (but she would after a while). She was very protective but very possessive as well. I remember worrying about it. Here Fozzi seems to be doing the same but also asserting her position as heir. That sort of mounting at some point was to say, "just remember I'm your superior.". Layla meddled as well, crying wolf, so Floffi had to apologise for snapping at Layla before getting her baby back. In the end the two sisters kissed and made up. Bo is still around but I wonder if Fozzi's growing assertiveness is making an impression on her to keep her distance. Maybe wishful thinking on my part.

Layla is a trouble maker. She won’t leave the babies alone and is in everyone’s business. The worst thing for her is to still be getting tea. When all the babies were being born she was intruding in on every one of them.

If Flöffi allows Fözzi to steal her baby that easily, what chance will she have against Bo's determination to kidnap a baby for her own? As I said, I don't think this baby has a chance. Bo has already killed 2 or 3 of Flöffi's babies, so what's one more?

There is a social hierarchy and she is below her. She is actually doing all she can. Because if she were to force it and grab the baby back, the whole troop would attack her.

@@Joesledge13 that doesn't always apply (there are exceptions to every rule). Bo is below both of the sisters, yet she kidnapped and killed babies from both. Also, we've seen Pepper fiercely protect her babies from even being looked at too closely by alpha family members, most recently Layla, without any repercussions. I don't care who it is...nobody, but nobody, ever messes with Pepper's babies!

All it takes is one mother to die or a new alpha to come in and the whole thing can turn around. As soon as she tried to take her baby back. She got surrounded by the other family members. That’s why she ran off. Waited for it to calm down. And got her baby back when she was away from the rest of the troop.

Good evening Monkey Hill family! I wonder about Floffi sometimes. She doesn't seem like she's really attentive to the baby, as a mother. Hanging around Bo isn't always the smartest thing to do. Pepper's baby is getting active & curious. Layla is a brat at times & knows how to pull strings. I do hope that Floffi's baby does make it. Time to go. Catch me later!

Sad & as heartbreaking as it is, not every baby will survive to their first birthday much less adulthood. That’s just a cold, hard fact of Mother Nature & wild animals. Too many here equate the babies & their adults to humans w/human attributes; then cry wailing Mom is ‘abusing’ their babies & the Macaque version of Child Protective Services should called pronto. Babies are going to die here & there, sooner or later no matter how much people here cry abt it, I guarantee it

I totally have to be believe and agree with u. Floffi does appear to be little to medium of a dim whit. U think she would have learned by experience, after all the babies she has lost over the years. I'm surprised that Fozzi's is acting the way she is. She usely the one trying to protect Floff'i, and her children. However, I think Pepper's little son is so cute, and so curious. I just adore him.

Mom was using that foot to hold that baby for dear life. No baby stealing from her. Bo got near and mom would grab and go away. Besides mom would not stand beside the entire time if it is babysitting. Mom goes to get food or something else.

Nope, you're wrong. Layla didn't do anything. She wasn't the one screaming. A younger monkey started screaming (not in the picture), Layla jumped a bit, Floffi jumped back a bit (I believe because Foxi was showing signs of dominance and Floffi was showing signs of submission to Foxxi, by sticking her butt up and giving direct eye contact, and then Foxxi sort of initiated that domination humping movement that monkeys do when they are given the dominance, and climbed on her back while her butt was up). She was acting a little bit bizarre and suspicious to begin with (Foxxi). I believe another monkey screamed, Layla jumped a tiny bit, Floffi jumped a tiny bit, and Foxxi was behaving a little bit possessive over the baby to begin with. While Floffi jumped back, Foxxi had her hands already grooming the baby and she grabbed her fur and kept her from being able to move back with Floffi. I think that just gave opportunity for Foxxi to take possession of the baby when Floffi didn't want her to have posession, and it derailed from there. The only other time I've disagreed strongly with you other than the time where a baby was kidnapped and you said he/she was choosing to be there because they could easily get away while the baby was looking around frantically for its mother and making subtle attempts that were immediately thwarted lol.

Floffi seems totally content to leave her newborns with babysitters & even Bo. She doesn't appear to have strong maternal instincts. It's almost like she gets bored with them in a few days after the new wears off. She takes them back to nurse them to relieve her discomfort, but then she's done with them again & willing to pass them to a surrogate.
