Damn. Judging how old these comments are, this is heavily forgotten, but even with how much we've evolved, this still goes way back to how much fun I had playing the mod, listening to the songs, seeing how proud I was beating the B side songs I was never able to beat, it's all just... This mod single handedly will stay with me for a good ammount of my time, because out of all mods, this is by far my favorite. Let along this had a good ammount of work consider the small stuff, like game over screens, the menu music, the week 6 dialogue song, I appreciate literally everything that came with this mod. When I first played this, it was the legit best thing,I felt like god completing the songs, I really just love looking back to see how much I loved it back at nearly a year now. It also takes me back to when the community was smaller than it is now, because I thought this game was gonna be one of those games to where a rare ammount of people knew it, but it grew and became a youtube kids festival it looks like

Yeah this is my favorite mod, simply because of how good the music is. It's not "nostalgia" (this is only a year old lol), imo these remixes are genuinely just composed better. And I like their style which I admit is personal. I don't like every remix, but most of the OST has gone unbeaten. The other mods have better presentation, but the music itself is the most important part imo And yeah, the game was always gonna turn out this way once it got popular. The early demos were barebones, and it kind of is even now. Combined with the art style, it was inevitable. But I suspect kid-pandering will be very difficult when the full game comes out lol

I'll be honest that after listening to the newest mods and coming back to the old things like this, the b-sides mix will always be the best. Idgaf if it doesn't have flashy mechanics and designs. It just somehow tops every other mod that comes out by just being normal, representing that fact that you don't need difficulty and edgy characters to enjoy literally just a fucking rhythm game. You just need a beat people can relax to, but still be sitting up in their seat because of the notes. And not many mods do that nowadays with keeping you on your edge too caught up in winning and competitiveness, completely ignoring the song in general.
