Thanks for sharing. Looks like the rivers in Oregon are very similar to the rivers in New Zealand for getting the gold. I've never used a gold monster but use a Minelab 2300 here in NZ. The front edge of my coil is the most sensitive part for detecting, especially small nuggets. I'm wondering if its the same for your gold monster. I use the 2300 because it is water proof to 10 feet which is great for detecting the bedrock when we've finished dredging. Cheers JoeP

There are definitely some similarities. And no the gold monster is strongest in the center of the coil. My next detector is going to be the 2300 for sure. Good luck to you on your adventures.

Good time's. I went to Quartsville Creek today and killed myself digging into some hard packed ancient river gravel. I brought home 6 buckets to put through the gold cube. I did a test pan every new bucket I started and I think this will be the best I've ever done there
