Just curious on why you don’t torque the main studs? I figured you want the to be to a certain spec.

He did torque the main studs.
@greymonster8669
@greymonster8669 3 күн бұрын
@bigboreracing365 He torqued the nuts onto the studs, But didn’t torque the studs themselves into the block, he only snugged them up. He actually made a comment about NOT torquing them, I was just curious why.
@bigboreracing356
@bigboreracing356 3 күн бұрын
@@greymonster8669 The instructions say to install main studs finger tight. That is why you do not torque them.

I seen another builder that on the main studs and head studs he’ll run them all the way down and then back them out about one full turn.What do you think about that?
@JacobVillemain

Are you going to match the highest torque with the next gear so when you change gears you will be at the engines highest torque?

I ordered the 1300hp ls rotating Assembly from Smeding Performance about two months ago or so. The 300m rods were not and option at the time. How much more power would that same 1300hp kit be good for on nitrous if I went with 300m rods? I haven’t even opened up the boxes yet
@bigboreracing356
@bigboreracing356 3 күн бұрын
You should run aluminum rods when making over 1300hp with nitrous.

@ I will only be around 1000whp or so on a 400 shot. Do you think I should be in the safe zone? I do use progressive and it’s a t56 6 speed C6 vette.

I have made several videos showing me checking main & rod bearing clearance. I don't want to bore viewers by showing the same thing in every video. I also don't usually say what I am running because every keyboard warrior knows better! This combo will run .0025 on the mains & .0023 on the rods.

Hey can I just say .. What a grand & Trendy fella you are that you would while still moist behind the ears opt to own the Z06 vette and I can only wish you all the very best of luck pal . The Bone yards are filled with Boys thinking with the wrong head did the same thing only to learn they hadn't been on the planet long enough to acquired the necessary skills needed to keep such a car between the lines and as iff that wasn't enough your going ten better and installing a whole other time zone in speed .& H.P. . Don't start out drag racing in the lower Super stock classes Or do the Skip barber deal and learn how to actually swing these cars around ..and judging by the condition of your complexion you can't be that far out of Boyhood ...Why not go get laid a lot of times build a beater you can do endless burn outs with and when your a bit older and your aggitts have dropped completely and your voice changes maybe then go by a good used Vette to learn on .. But hey WTF do I know I've only seen this done a few dozen times in my life but hey .. go ahead don't take my advice my dumb shit younger brother didn't either and he learned it all the hardest way possible with personal injury ... Anyway good luck ..hey listen when the car gets away from you the first time try to fight off the desire to saw away back & forth on the wheel it just makes irt worse
