I jungle garden too, although your garden looks far tidier than mine. It's quite lovely!

I love this garden, it's brilliant and I aspire to create something like this in my own garden which I expanded this year. If it's even half as beautiful as yours I'll be quite satisfied :) Thank you for showing your style of hd gardening, I am a visual learner as well, very helpful video.

This is a great subject. Im a new raised gardener and quite preplexed about spacing, I want max output for my garden with the idea of minimizing garden pests, I hope. Im seeding right now in zone 7 & trying to figure the sun patterns for backyard patio....what a pickle 😂. Never enough time in the day to read. Thanks for sharing your jungle, O hope to follow in your path. 😁

Glad you enjoyed! Spacing can be a learn-as-you-go process. And for sun patterns, just remember that shadows on the northern side of structures and trees will be a bit smaller/closer to the structure during the peak growing season :)

You will not regret the asparagus - once it’s going good you will probably wish you had planted more.

I'm curious if you've done a video on how you've set up an irrigation for this high density garden set up. I tried to search in your videos and didn't find anything specifically dedicated to that. I kind of unintentionally have somewhat dense beds as I only have 2 - 4'x8' beds right now and bought an ambitious amount of starts so just tried to fit them all in as best I could, so I'm curious especially when things are so dense, what your method is for ensuring easy and deep watering. Right now my beds are as dense as yours, but I'd like to keep trying to refine and utilize the space I have efficiently so that I don't have to have so many beds just for produce and instead a manageable number.

Hi Courtney! Great question. I don’t have a video on this. I have an above-ground drip system which I made in 2020 during some pandemic shortages and I ended up using just random drip hoses and whatever was available! Lol. That happened to be black 2” hose for the main lines to each bed. And then 1/4” line coming out of those which I snake around on top of the growing surface to water each plant. It’s not my favorite and I don’t *love* it. But it works. I would recommend going with a drip system, but probably try and get something nicer that will last longer and be more durable overall. I do find myself making repairs and adjustments every year. Also I do have this on a timer.

@@TheMintedMaiden awesome thank you! I have soaker hoses right now and had to get creative to wind it through things without crushing and make sure to use landscape staples to hold it in place. I definitely want to set up a better irrigation system for next year. And I had planned to do drip irrigation.

I'm trying this. how do you deal with maintaining the soil? I'm pruning for access and using compost.

Both of those things! Pruning, compost, and I also add nutrients regularly throughout the growing season. I like KozGro Organics. Www.KozGroorganics.com
