At 43:30, perfect example of how to play with intent. But you have to make it clear and make sure your opponent agrees with it. Like in that situation, while you're doing something specifically to make sure it's a front charge, but it's close, gotta say "hey man right here I'm intending to make sure this is a front charge for you, look good?". Helps avoid those situations where it's like "I did intend for it to be this way", well you gotta be clear with intent.

Lore clear-up: Heldenhammer means "hammer-bearer" (and is also a ship in Dreadfleet). It's not Sigmar's actual surname, that would be Bjornsson, or Unberogen if we're going by royal house. Ghal-maraz ("Skull-splitter" in Khazalid) is *the* warhammer.

"Held" is actually German for Hero with "Helden" being the plural. Considering Reikspiel is a fantasy take on German I think "Hero-Hammer" or "Heroes-Hammer"or "Hammer of Heroes" is a better translation. According to the wiki though Heldenhammer means "Hammer of the Goblins in Old Reikspiel", which does not make so much sense but I guess that's Warhammer lore for you.

Some tips to improve performances playing dark elves on WAP: - Always try to bring at least two casters (Dark & Shadow most of the times) your most dangerous build is the one focused on magic and, of course, on shooting. - Supreme Sorceress who flies across the field riding a dark pegasus wearing a Cloak of Twilight is very effective. - BSB Hag on Cauldron if you like crazy bloody witches (why not) - Darkshards and Dark Riders are your best friends, City Guards are ok but they make your army slow, too defensive and predictable. You're a Druchii, play aggressive. - Corsairs are better than you think, especially if you make them skirmishers and ambushers. - Most of the times, 15/18 Executioners are more than enough - If you wanna play Cold Ones, you must have the Blood Banner - Forget the Chariot - Shades - Bloodwrack Medusa (50pts are too few not to take it on almost any occasion. His stare will terrify your non-elven opponent) - Black Guards are super good, they will rarely let you down (especially with the Razor Standard) - Freaking Doomfire Warlocks maaan

I agree with most of the things on the list, but I feel like the blood banner isn't all that necessary for Cold One Knights. Leadership 9 basically gives them a 1/6 chance of failing their stupidity checks, and since you don't have to roll for stupidity when they aren't in combat they should be fine in most cases. If you really want to guarantee they work you might as well use the gleaming pennant (Reroll first failed leadership test which I believe still applies for stupidity) for less points or just put a Dreadlord in the unit to make them leadership 10 (1/12 chance of failing). In general though I think it's a better idea to give Cold One Knights an offensive banner like the Hydra (+1 attack for both rider and mount in the first round of combat) or Hag Graef (Always Strikes First) banner, it's more risky but I feel like it pays off more often than not.

@@batsoup832 yeah I've run 2x5 or 1x10 cold ones dozens of times. I'm really not sure that I've ever failed a stupidity check. I did have a dreadlord in there a few times as well.

a dreadlord, with heavy armor and seadragon cloak, on dragon...is already like a -2+ armor save xD no possible way to increase it any further with any blood armor.

The armour is usless on the dreadlord when u rider a dragon you have 1+ save anyway.

Dragons have a 3+, so getting armour is a good idea to lower that further.

The magnitude of saves WAP seems to allow you to stack on mounted monsters seems supremely unfun. Anybody got other experiences?

I played a couple games with some friends. Its soooo easy to get 2 or 3+ armor saves with 6+ parry saves on normal infantry. I actually didn't like it for that reason. And of course 1+ armor on mounted units
