Tip for the gold poster board. Gently roll the poster board and paper clip it in place. Leave over night. Next day roll it up a little tighter, paper clip it again and leave over night. Then when you cut it into strips and roll it into shape it won't be difficult and will roll easier with out creases!

Another way to give wood nutcrackers a vintage gold look is to paint them black first then use gold paint or rub n buff. The secret is in the black paint.

I love these dupes videos! At least to me, the biggest cost of high end decorations is the cost of labor. That's why I started to DIY years ago! Side note: I would like to suggest that for anyone wanting to make the nativity, if you use the same house she did, just cut the sides if the roof off which will make the building taller.
