Hi Caroline, beautiful piece, may i ask if you would varnish this? or does every piece of artwork need to be varnished? I do wonder if i over think it sometime.

Hi Georgie, great question! I usually give my pieces a spray with a satin varnish like Winsdor & Newton to give it a bit of protection, but unless it is going hang somewhere very bright, or uses less light-fast inks, I don't think it's that important. Thank you! I was just 'free-writing' nonsense to give the look of old handwriting - you can't make out any words. But I did think afterwards that it would be lovely to write favourite quotes or lyrics to make the artwork really special and personal :)
