I own an older one of these! I was shopping around and noticed the cup holders were a tad bit deeper so I decided on John Deere, haven't had any regrets yet! I must say with my first one I was driving the wrong way, veered off between trees into a river. Fortunately I had a previous save. Hopefully the next Farming Simulator has these newer models!

I wish that I would have had a 9R 830 (I like tires instead of tracks), back in the 60's and 70's, to drive to school on Ag/FFA drive your tractor to school days!!! I had to settle for an Oliver 1850 wide front gasoline tractor. (I was still cool though.)

I understand bigger better idea. I also know there are very few implements that NEED this kind of horse power. Is John Deere going to make implements that match this horse power now? Right now the Big Bud 747 with 1100 hp pulls only 1 thing that was built just for it. Just trying to see the logic here.

I can see these primarily being used in Canada with those humongous air drills. There is still a fair amount of rolling terrain up there and the 9RX 620’s and previous Case IH Steigers (before the 715) I heard were running into hp/weight issues. Another area could be the Palouse with those extreme hills; towing carts up there is difficult. Also those Iowa corn boys would love to get there hands on these to sling around their corn-stuffed 2500 bushel grain carts more easily.

Great question! The new high-horsepower 9RX Series does not come equipped with a diesel particulate filter or any other exhaust filter.

John deere 9RX 830 , looks good at the front , but why did you put belly fuel tanks on the side of the tractor . You should have made a nice metal fuel tank , and put it over the back differential , would have look a whole lot better , and more weight over the back differential , for traction and turning , just my opinion .

Does the 913hp max for the 9rx 830 include the 40hp power boost option or does the 40hp power boost option take it from 913hp to 953hp? Either way its a crazy amount of power.

It had better have some extra HP. All the gear boxes from the engine to the tracks will eat over 70 HP in frictional losses. Straight cut gears make them scream down the road in road gear. In 95% of AG use the 4 track system is a waste of energy and fuel. But heck JD copies everything that it sells from elsewhere.

@@jddriver9565 In track tractors they were way behind both the two and four track systems. Claimed only 5% of farm land would benefit from tracks. Now they sell both. Another decade they behind with computer engine management on engines. For a while no power shift trans in tracked tractors because theirs was to light duty. Variable speed trans they make is junk. They really lost me when they told us an 8400 cost 1/3 less to make than a 4855 but cost us 30% more to buy. Keep your Deere and CO. l like my money too much for that.
