Dear chess people. Position at timestamp 39:03, after white plays c3. Imagine Eric plays Nf4 check Rxf4 Now the bishop is still pinned. My question is can the king now take the rook? Or is it still defended by the pinned bishop? Because technically, the white bishop is immobilised. This would mean however that the black rook is also 'tied down'. My guess would be the answer is no, the king cannot take.

Correct, the king can't move into a threatened square, even if it only threatened by a pinned piece.
