This is so great! Ever since coming across the Waldorf Kyra, I've been super interested in FPGA synthesis and DSP. I ended up researching flip-flops, LUTs, logic cells, and the theoretical stuff, but much of the tech seemed too over my layman head to invest in an Artix7 100T board or something, and I didn't want to settle for a gumstick lattice FPGA. I also didn't find many resources specific to audio synthesis. But since AMD acquired Xilinx and with some of the new FPGA tech on the horizon with massive quantities of logic cells, current info on how to use FPGA for synthesis and DSP will be so perfect for new and complex sonic worlds! But I also wasn't sure whether new AI capabilities could sidestep FPGAs with complex algorithms (GANs and etc) on classical processors, or if LLMs could enhance/enable coding such devices in Verilog, Python, VHDL, etc. Also, the DaisyDSP came along and newer Teensy boards like the 4.1 are pretty versatile. (When ChatGPT first came out, I was trying to contrive of a SBC like DaisyDSP augmented via an FPGA.) I'm so excited by how quickly the tech is coming along through so many different channels. (Haha. Pun intended.) Thank you for this presentation!

Awesome. Have been thinking about a project recently and figured i probably needed a FPGA. This talk basically answered every question i had (which we're many).
